A man is wanted by York Regional Police in connection with the alleged manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms in Stouffville.
On Monday, police say they launched an investigation after receiving information into an alleged a 3D-printed firearm manufacturing operation at a residence in the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville.
Later, officers executed a search warrant at a home and seized multiple items related to the manufacturing of 3D-printed firearms, including parts for several handguns and rifles, ammunition and prohibited devices.
Now, police say they are searching for Steen Eliasen, 30, of Stouffville, for 14 offences, including weapons trafficking, possession for the purpose of weapons trafficking, thee counts of possession when unauthorized, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, tampering with a serial number (two counts), altering a cartridge magazine, and two counts of possession of a prohibited firearm without a registration certificate.
Police say Eliasen is “encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in.”
“Investigators are reminding the public that anyone providing assistance to him may be subject to criminal charges.”
