A 43-year-old man is facing nearly a dozen charges after young girls were approached and given sexually explicit notes at a mall and school property in Peterborough earlier this month.
Peterborough police said the alleged incidents happened between July 10 and 16 at Lansdowne Place mall and Prince of Wales School property.
Officers were initially made aware of one incident, prompting them to investigate and learn about several more cases.
Police said the suspect was subsequently identified as Scott Andrew Duncan, of the Township of Cavan-Monaghan.
He was taken into custody last week and charged with one count of making sexually explicit material available, three counts each of invitation to sexual touching and luring a person under 16, and four counts of criminal harassment—threatening conduct.
The accused was remanded into custody until his next court appearance on Aug. 4.
Police also released images of Duncan in a news release on Monday, as they believe there may be other victims or unreported similar incidents.
