York Regional Police say a nursing instructor in Markham has been charged with sexually assaulting a student.
In a news release issued Friday, police said the victim reported the incident after she and the accused attended home care visits as part of her training.
After the visits, police said, the suspect drove the victim to a “secluded location” and touched her for a sexual purpose.
Armin Azizi-Mehr, 58, of Markham was charged with sexual assault following an investigation.
Police said Azizi-Mehr works as a home care nurse and nurse preceptor.
The College of Nurses of Ontario said it is aware of Azizi-Mehr’s charges and that it takes the allegation “very seriously.”
“Investigators are releasing his image as they believe there may be additional victims,” police said.
