Hamilton police are investigating a homicide following an alleged assault in May, that led to the death of a man.
Police say on the morning of May 31, officers arrived to the area of Wentworth Street North and Bristol Street following reports of an assault.
When they showed up, they found an adult man with a serious head injury. He was taken to hospital, and stayed there until he died on July 30, police said in news release.
The victim’s name was not released at the request of his family.
Police are looking for the suspect, who they described as a Black man with a medium build, who was wearing a white t-shirt, white shorts and a white bucket-style hat.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing, as detectives pursue several avenues.
