Man rushed to hospital after overnight stabbing in North York

A man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing in North York early Saturday morning.

In a post to social media, Toronto police say officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue East area at about 1:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they say they located an injured man at the scene.

He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released any suspect information.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
