One person is dead after a serious collision forced the closure of all northbound lanes on Highway 400 in North York, Saturday morning.
In a post to social media, the OPP says the crash occurred on Highway 400 northbound at Finch Avenue, prompting emergency crews to close all lanes while they responded.
Police have since confirmed to CP24 that one person was pronounced dead at the scene.
In an update, officials noted foul play is not suspected, and that an adult male pedestrian was pronounced deceased after a collision with a transport truck.

Officials note the highway is expected to remain closed for “a few more hours” as crews carry out cleanup operations.
Drivers are being urged to use alternate routes and expect significant traffic delays in the area.
Police say further information will be released as the investigation continues.
