Police have arrested a Toronto man allegedly linked to a suspected hate-motivated harassment and threatening investigation.
The alleged incident took place in the Bond Street and Shuter Street area on July 19, police said in a news release.
Police say the accused allegedly approached a victim while making repeated anti-Muslim comments, which were unprovoked.
The victim tried to walk away but the accused followed them and continued making threats, following which the victim, fearing for their safety, flagged down a passing police officer.
Responding officers arrested the accused, who refused to identify himself and threatened them with violence.
Police have arrested and charged 45-year-old Reginald Cuff with:
- Criminal harassment
- Two counts of uttering threats
- Obstructing a peace officer
