Toronto police are investigating a reported sexual assault near the Markham border early Saturday morning.
In a news release, police said the victim was walking in an alleyway near Steeles and Warden avenues at 2:46 a.m. when the suspect approached from behind and pushed them to the ground.
Police said the victim was sexually assaulted and the suspect fled the area towards Warden Avenue.
The suspect is described by police as a brown male between 30 and 40 years old, five-foot-eight with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, red-striped shorts, running shoes and a blue surgical mask.
No images of the suspect were released by police.
