Toronto police say the incident happened at about 2:40 a.m. on June 28 near Queen Street West and Peter Street in the city’s Entertainment District.
Police allege the victim and the suspect got into an altercation inside the nightclub, during which the suspect struck the victim in the head with a glass object.
The suspect fled the area.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result.
Police say the victim and the suspect did not know each other.
Police describe the suspect as a man between the ages of 25 and 35 with a medium build, dreadlocks and various tattoos on his arms, neck and possibly his face.
They say he was last seen wearing a white bucket hat, glasses, a chain necklace, a black shirt with a colourful print on the front, black jeans and black shoes.
