A pedestrian has life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run in Brampton early Thursday morning as police search for the driver.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said officers responded to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian on the Highway 410 northbound off-ramp to Steeles Avenue at 12:20 a.m.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a Jeep Cherokee, with damage to the front bumper grill and hood.
“Mississauga OPP members are looking to identify and speak with the driver of the vehicle that failed to remain at the scene,” police said in a news release.
The off-ramp was closed for an investigation but has since reopened.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam from the area between 12:00 a.m. and 12:25 a.m. to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
