A severe thunderstorm yellow watch issued for some parts of the Greater Toronto Area has ended.
The advisory, which warned of heavy rainfall and quarter-size hail, was in effect Thursday afternoon for Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and the rest of York Region as well as Caledon.
The watch was lifted shortly after 6 p.m.
There were no weather alerts for Toronto, but Environment Canada said there is a 60 per cent chance of showers this evening with a risk of thunderstorm.
Environment Canada said fog patches will also develop overnight.
For those attending the Taste of the Danforth, it will be cloudy in Toronto on Friday with a 60 per cent chance of showers in the afternoon and a high of 27 C with a humidex value of 34.
Cloudy conditions will persist on Saturday with a 60 per cent chance of showers and a daytime high of 28 C.
Sunny skies will return on Sunday with a high of 28 C.
