A 16-year-old boy is accused of pointing a loaded gun at Toronto police officers during his arrest on Thursday.
Police said members of the 31 Division Major Crime Unit attended the area of Jane Street and Finch Avenue West to arrest the boy.
He was wanted in connection with a police foot pursuit on July 15 near Driftwood Avenue and Finch Avenue West that injured two officers.
Police said they found the wanted boy as he exited an elevator.
As they tried to arrest him, the boy allegedly aimed a loaded firearm at the officers.
Police said officers quickly subdued the boy and took him into custody.
No one was injured in the interaction, according to police. They added that besides the loaded firearm, they also seized a quantity of oxycodone and Canadian currency.
The 16-year-old is facing 14 charges, including firearm-related offences. He cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The teenager is the second person arrested in the July 15 incident. Police already have a 21-year-old man in custody.
