One person and a dog were rescued from a burning house in Toronto’s west end on Monday afternoon, Toronto Fire Services (TFS) says.
The two-alarm fire broke out in the Roncesvalles neighbourhood, on Ritchie Avenue, which is near Dundas Street West and Roncesvalles Avenue.
Firefighters attended that area just after 2 p.m. and remain on scene, TFS said in a post on X.
Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to the adjoining house, they added.
An investigation will be done determine the origin, cause, and circumstances of the fire.
