A Brampton man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Mississauga over the long weekend.
Peel Regional Police say on August 1, at around 1:40 a.m., they responded to a call for a stabbing at a commercial unit near Dixie Road and Aimco Boulevard, just north of Eglinton Avenue East.
There, officers found a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local trauma centre in serious, but stable condition, and is expected to recover, police said.
As a result, Gregory Darling, 32, of Brampton, was arrested on August 2. He has been charged with aggravated assault.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and attended court in Brampton.
