21-year-old Devon Plooard is facing multiple charges including sexual assault and voyeurism after turning himself in to police.

Toronto police say a man accused of making a video recording of a sexual assault earlier this summer is now in custody.

Police previously said they received a call last weekend for a sexual assault in the area of Gerrard Street East and Coxwell Avenue.

While responding to that call, police said they learned that a suspect had sexually assaulted a victim back in May and the assault had been recorded on video.

Police also allege that the suspect pulled out a firearm and pointed it at the victim.

On Monday, police confirmed that the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Devon Plooard, turned himself into police.

He has been charged with sexual assault, pointing a firearm, and voyeurism.

The charges have not yet been tested in court.
