No injuries were reported following a stubborn three-alarm blaze in southeast Scarborough on Tuesday.
The fire broke out at a two-storey home in the West Rouge neighbourhood, at 57 Broadbridge Dr., which is east of Port Union and north of Lawrence Avenue East.
Toronto fire and police said they were called to that address just after 3:15 p.m.
Crews encountered heavy fire and smoke upon arrival, the fire service said.
At this time, the main body of fire has been knocked down. However, Toronto fire says it did extend to the attic area and firefighting operations continue.
Brown smoke could be seen emanating from the roof of the dwelling at one point.
