A Toronto man is facing charges after police say officers observed him allegedly dealing drugs in Scarborough on Monday.
According to Toronto police, officers were in the area of Morningside Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East on Monday following recent community complaints about drug use in the area.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., officers say they observed a man allegedly engaged in drug trafficking.
The man was arrested, and police say officers seized quantities of crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine, as well as an unspecified amount of cash.
The suspect, Anwar Yosofi, 36, of Toronto, has been charged with three counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime not exceeding $5,000.
The allegations have not been proven in court.
