Man stabbed in downtown Toronto, police searching for suspect

Police say a person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a stabbing around 2 p.m. in the Church Street and Shuter Street area.

Police are searching for one suspect after a man was stabbed in downtown Toronto Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 2 p.m. in the area of Church and Shuter streets.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect fled before officers arrived.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a black ski mask and a black-and-white T-shirt.
