Thunderstorm watches and warnings for GTA have ended. Here’s what’s in store for the next few days.

Thunderstorms rolled into the Greater Toronto Area on Wednesday, bringing heavy rainfall and strong winds.

The storms prompted Environment Canada to issue watches and warnings, also advising of “toonie-sized” hail.

All weather advisories were lifted on Wednesday night.

Cloudy conditions are expected to clear up on Thursday, which will see sunshine and a high of 28 C.

“There’s a bit of a change in the forecast for Friday. A trough, passing over southcentral Ontario, may bring a few brief light showers on Friday afternoon,” CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter said.

Friday will see sunshine and a high of 24 C.

On Saturday, mainly sunny conditions and a “seasonably fresh” high of 25 C is expected, Coulter said.

“Showers are expected to return for Sunday afternoon,” he said, adding that the start of next week looks like it will be “mainly sunny and warm.”
