Man in hospital following late-night stabbing in downtown Toronto, suspect(s) at-large

Police are investigating two separate incidents of stabbings that left men in their 30s injured.

A man in his 30s was taken to the hospital following a stabbing in downtown Toronto late Friday night.

The incident happened near Wellesley and Jarvis streets.

Toronto police say they were called to that area at 11:40 p.m. for a report of a stabbing.

There, officers found a male in his 30s who had been stabbed, they said.

The victim was transported to hospital by paramedics, with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect(s), meanwhile, fled the area prior to police arrival.

Police say they do not have any suspect descriptions available at this point.

The scene has since been cleared.
