An unknown number of people ran away from the scene of a hit-and-run involving three vehicles in Toronto’s west end on Saturday morning, police say.
The crash happened in The Junction neighbourhood near Old Weston Road and Dupont Street, near Dundas Street West.
Toronto police said at around 6:30 a.m. they responded to a call for a fail-to-remain property damage collision.
“Callers reported the occupants of one of the vehicles fleeing the area on foot after the collision,” they told CP24.
Paramedics said they attended a call for a collision/vehicle fire in that area but didn’t transport anyone to the hospital.
Roads in the area were closed as police investigated but have now reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
