A single-vehicle crash in Brampton Tuesday morning knocked down several hydro poles and left more than a thousand homes without power.
Peel Regional Police said it happened on Rosedale Avenue, near Queen and Main streets.
As many as 4,376 homes and businesses were left without power following the crash, according to Alectra Utilities, which supplies electricity to the area. That number has since reduced to approximately 1,167 customers, as crews work to get the power back on.
Police told CP24 that the driver of the vehicle was arrested for impaired driving. Road closures are in effect.
