A 60-year-old e-scooter rider has died days after crashing into a parked vehicle in North York early Sunday morning.
The collision happened in the area of Driftwood Avenue and Jane Street shortly after 1:30 a.m.
Police said the man was riding his e-scooter westbound on Driftwood Avenue when, for unknown reasons, he hit the open driver-side door of a parked car.
Emergency crews arrived and transported the 60-year-old to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the 22-year-old owner of the car remained at the scene.
In an update on Tuesday, police said the man had died in the hospital.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
