A suspect who allegedly assaulted someone at a downtown Toronto nightclub in June is being sought by police.

In a news release issued Friday, investigators said the suspect and victim were inside the unnamed establishment near King Street West and Spadina Avenue just before 1 a.m. on June 21.

They said a verbal altercation took place at that time and the suspect assaulted the victim.

The victim was left with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival, investigators said.

Police described the suspect as a 20 to 25-year-old male, standing approximately five-foot-eight feet tall, with a thin build and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a polo shirt and a backwards baseball hat.

Investigators are asking anyone with information about the alleged incident to contact police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
