Cyclist in hospital after being hit by driver of vehicle in Toronto’s west end

A cyclist was rushed to the hospital following a collision involving a bicycle and a vehicle on Sunday near Christie Street and Bloor Street West in Toronto on Aug. 30.

A cyclist was rushed to the hospital following a collision involving a bicycle and a vehicle on Sunday in Toronto’s west end.

The crash happened near Christie Street and Bloor Street West.

Toronto police said they were called to that area just after 8:15 a.m. for report of a cyclist struck by a vehicle.

Paramedics say they transported a male in his 20s to a trauma centre in serious, but stable, condition.

Both the driver and their vehicle remained on scene, said police.

Christie Street was closed in both directions between Barton Avenue and Bloor Street West but has since reopened.
