Toronto police are searching for a suspect after a person was assaulted and their home damaged.
Officers responded to the area of St. Clair Avenue West and Lansdowne Avenue on Aug. 1 for an assault call.
After allegedly stealing the victim’s vehicle keys, the suspect then assaulted and threatened them.
Police allege the suspect also stole the victim’s home keys, which he used to break in and cause damage.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
In a news release on Tuesday, they identified the suspect as 35-year-old Ivan Espinoza Rivera of Toronto.
He is wanted for taking a motor vehicle without consent, assault, uttering threats, break enter and commit, three counts of failure to comply with a release order and three counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
Rivera is described as standing five-foot-10, weighing 180 pounds with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes.
