An 82-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital after being struck by an SUV in Scarborough Friday morning.
It happened near Bridletowne Circle and Finch Avenue East shortly before 6:15 a.m.
Toronto police said a 49-year-old woman operating a white Toyota RAV4 was travelling from Bridletowne Circle to Finch Avenue East when she struck and ran over the woman crossing the road.
The woman was transported to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the driver remained at the scene.
