Motorcyclist killed after collision in Scarborough

A man in his 20s has died after a collision with the driver of a vehicle in Toronto’s east end Tuesday afternoon.

The collision happened at 2:05 p.m. at the intersection of Bertrand Avenue and Crockford Boulevard in Scarborough’s Wexford-Maryvale neighbourhood, after police responded to reports that a motorcycle had struck a vehicle.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstance

s surrounding this incident are unclear at this time, police say the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

Betrand Avenue from Warden Avenue to Thermos Road is currently closed as police investigate.

Police are asking people in the area to consider alternate routes.
