A lounge in Mississauga has been shot at for the second time in a week, Peel police confirm.
The incident happened at Sapphire Lounge, in the Streetsville neighbourhood, at 168 Queen St. S., south of Britannia Road West.
Peel Regional Police said at around 4 a.m. on Sunday they responded to a call for a shooting at a commercial building near Queen Street South and Tannery Street.
A media officer told CP24 that multiple shell casings were located on scene.
“There were no reported injuries as the business was closed at the time and no one was inside,” Const. Laurie McCann wrote in an email.
She added that there were no roads closures at the time of the incident, noting that there is no longer a heavy police presence in the area.
A shooting previously occurred at that same location in the early morning hours of Sept. 7. No injuries were reported in that incident.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact PRP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
