A motorcyclist has died following a collision involving a car in Scarborough late Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened in the Eglinton East neighbourhood, near Eglinton Avenue East and McCowan Road.
Toronto police say they were called to that area at around 5:50 p.m. for reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
They later said that the motorcyclist has been pronounced deceased at the hospital.
This is Toronto’s 38th traffic fatality of the year.
All involved parties remained on scene.
The intersection is closed as police investigate.
Police area asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes. They’re also advising them to expect traffic delays in the area.
