Fire at Toronto apartment building sends 1 to hospital in critical condition

A man was rushed to the burn centre after a fire at an apartment building on Lansdowne and Dupont. CP24’s Courtney Heels reports.

A man has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a two-alarm fire in the city’s west end, paramedics say.

It happened at an apartment building near Lansdowne and Dupont streets early Tuesday morning.

Paramedics told CP24 that a 51-year-old man was taken from the scene to hospital with critical injuries.

The fire has been knocked down but the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the blaze will continue.
