A woman was rushed to the hospital following an incident on the train tracks in Toronto’s west end on Sunday, police say.
It happened at a grade-level train crossing on Old Weston Road.
Toronto police said they were called to that area just before 1:30 p.m. after receiving a call for a cyclist who was injured after falling off their bicycle on the train tracks.
An officer at the scene was observed removing an e-scooter from the area.
Paramedics said they transported an adult female to a trauma centre with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said it is unclear if she was wearing a helmet or not.
The scene has been cleared, said police.
