York Regional Police will be providing more details Tuesday on an investigation into drug trafficking on the dark web.
In a news release, police said the investigation, dubbed Project Ghostwire, “disrupted a criminal network” believed to be responsible for trafficking drugs online.
The probe, police said, resulted in the seizure of $3 million worth of drugs and luxury goods.
York Regional Police Chief Paulo Da Silva and Det.-Sgt. Stephen Beale, of the Guns, Gangs and Drug Enforcement Unit, will provide comment on the investigation at a news conference, which is set to begin at 10 a.m.
