Police have arrested four people, including three teens, in connection with the theft of three motor vehicles from an impound lot in the Township of King.
Police say that suspects stole the vehicles from a tow yard near Highway 11 and Bathurst Street on the morning of Nov. 13 of last year.
The suspects were later identified as a result of a joint investigation between the York Regional Police Auto Cargo Unit and the Toronto Police Service’s Hold-Up Unit, police say.
It is alleged that the same suspects have been previously been linked to other commercial break-ins within York Region as well as a residential break-in in Toronto, the investigators said.
All four suspects were arrested on Jan. 10.
Kenshin Bumanglag, 19, from Toronto has been charged with 14 offences including three counts of motor vehicle theft.
Two of the 17-years-old youths, meanwhile, have been charged with seven offences each, including three counts of motor vehicle theft. The third youth, who is also 17, has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
