York Regional Police are investigating after one person in a vehicle fired a shot at another vehicle in Markham on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said a call came in shortly before 4:30 p.m. for a shooting in a residential area near Highway 7 and Ninth Line.
When officers arrived, no victims were located but they found shell casings.
Police have since learned that two vehicles were involved in the incident and that the shot was fired as they were driving along the road.
They have limited description of the vehicles – one is a dark-coloured SUV, and the other is a dark-coloured sedan. No suspect information has been released.
Police have not said what led to the shooting incident.
