A 34-year-old man has been charged after a series of indecent acts on various trails in Richmond Hill.
York Regional Police say they looked into three incidents allegedly involving the same suspect that happened in July and September of this year.
The first on the morning of July 23, when police a victim was walking on a trail in the area of Tower Hill Road and Mockingbird Drive, just west of Yonge Street and north of 19th Avenue.
Authorities say the victim saw a man by a wooden fence who allegedly exposed himself and committed an indecent act. The victim left the area and reported the incident to York police.
The next incident occured on the afternoon of Sept. 11, at around 4:45 p.m., in the area of Bayview Avenue, north of Elgin Mills Road East. Woodriver Street.
Police say a man allegedly followed the victim along the trail in an attempt to strike up a conversation with them. As the victim walked away, the man allegedly made sexual comments toward them.
The most recent incident happened a few weeks later on Sept. 30, at around 2 p.m., but this time in the area of Devonsleigh Boulevard and Summitcrest Drive, south of 19th and west of Bayview.
Authiorities say an unknown man approached the victim, trying to make conversation before allegedly exposing himself to them. The man then left the area.
Police say no one sustained physical injuries in all three incidents.
On Oct. 17, York police executed a search warrant at a home in Richmond Hill. As a result, officers arrested Jared Ross, 34, of Richmond Hil. He has been charged with criminal harrassment, two counts of indecent act, and three counts of mischief. The charges have not been tested in court.
Investigators believe there may be more victims.
Police are asking anyone with additional information to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
