Police in York Region have charged a man accused of stalking two people, including a teenager, in Vaughan last month.

York Regional Police (YRP) said they received a report of a man following a victim home near New Westminster Drive and Bathurst Street.

He allegedly attempted to talk to the victim, telling them that they looked familiar and asking them if they worked in Newmarket.

“The victim recognized the same male from a previous incident in February 2025, when he followed the victim from school and made similar comments,” police said in a news release.

Another stalking-related incident came to YRP and they said this one occurred in the area of Clark Avenue and Dufferin Street.

“Another youth reported being followed home from school by a male who asked if the victim worked in Newmarket and claimed to recognize them,” police said.
