A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a tractor-trailer in Vaughan on Thursday night.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 7 and Islington Avenue around 7:22 p.m.
York Region paramedics told CP24 that the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not clear if the driver remained at the scene but York Regional Police said they later located the vehicle and the driver.
The intersection was closed in all directions for the investigation.
