Provincial police have reopened the northbound direction of Highway 400 in York Region on Sunday after a multi-vehicle crash.
3:15 p.m.
In an update, the OPP confirmed that all northbound lanes have reopened after nearly a two-hour closure.
The OPP PIA told CTV News that no injuries were reported, adding that the highway was able to reopen once salt trucks passed through and involved vehicles were towed.
The exact number of vehicles involved remains unknown.
1:29 p.m.
In a social media post, the OPP confirmed that all northbound lanes were closed from Teston Road to Lloydtown-Aurora Road due to icy conditions.
The OPP PIA told CTV News that the crash happened near King Road and one of the involved vehicles was on fire.
Video supplied by a passenger on the highway shows the SUV with its front engulfed in flames and what appear to be other involved vehicles pulled over on the right shoulder.
Police continue urging motorists to use caution on the roads and to be prepared for unpredictable conditions.
