A man with a firearm robbed a bank in Richmond Hill earlier this month before successfully fleeing the scene, police said Tuesday.
Police say they responded to a bank robbery call in the area of Yonge Street and Eglin Mills Road at around 2:20 p.m. on Jan. 15. A suspect entered the bank with a firearm, took cash and left the area, investigators say.
The suspect is described as male who is approximately five-foot-nine in height. He was last seen wearing all-black attire and a “dinosaur scarf,” by police.
York police are appealing for witnesses who were in the area between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Jan. 15.
