Police say they are looking for five suspects following a jewelry store robbery in Richmond Hill.
York Regional Police issued a news release on Wednesday, saying that officers responded to a commercial robbery in the area of Yonge Street and Carrville Road on Tuesday at around 6 p.m.
Four suspects entered the store wearing masks and carrying hammers, police said, and once inside, they smashed display cases and filled reusable bags with jewelry.
The group quickly fled the area to a waiting dark-coloured sedan, police said.
Police described all four suspects as male, with three of them wearing all black clothing and a fourth male wearing a grey hoody. A suspect description of the getaway driver was not obtained.

Investigators said they are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, has dashcam or surveillance video from around the time of the incident, or any information that could help identify the suspects.
