Police have arrested and charged three men from Toronto and Vaughan following more than a dozen break-and-enters across York Region.
In a release on Friday, York Regional Police said an investigation, called Project Dora, began in December last year looking into a series of break-and-enter incidents in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, and Markham.
On Feb. 26, police received information that suspects in the investigation were in the area of Tower Hill Road and Bathurst Street in Richmond Hill.
“With the assistance from York Regional Police Air Support, officers observed the suspects enter a residence on Tower Hill Road,” the release read.
When officers arrived in the area, police said the suspects had returned to their vehicle, where they were arrested, along with the getaway driver.
Police released a video on Friday showing the moment the suspects were surrounded by cruisers.

Police said a quantity of Canadian, U.S. and Filipino currencies was seized.
Following their arrests, York police said they linked the suspects to 13 other residential break-and-enter incidents across York Region since December.
Paata Memarne, 31, of Toronto; Mikheil Shvangiradze, 44, of Toronto; and Tariel Nikuradze, 38, of Vaughan are all facing multiple counts of break and enter—commit, break and enter—intent, possession of break and enter tools, and one count of participate in criminal organization.
Nikuradze faces an additional charge of breach of probation.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
