Child with special needs assaulted by therapy assistant in Vaughan: police

An occupational therapy assistant has been charged following the alleged assault of a child with special needs in Vaughan.

In a release on Wednesday, York Regional Police said on Feb. 24, investigators were contacted by a complainant who reported that their child with special needs had been assaulted by their occupational therapy assistant.

The suspect reportedly attended the victim’s home in Vaughan for a therapy session and during that session, the suspect assaulted the victim, police said.

On Feb. 27, police arrested Roza Hosseini, 36, of Richmond Hill. She has been charged with one count of assault.

Police said the suspect works with multiple clients and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
