One person is dead and several others are in hospital after a single-vehicle crash in East Gwillimbury Ont. early Sunday morning.
Police say the collision happened at around 12:35 a.m. at the intersection of Doane Road and Leslie Street.
It’s unclear what led up to the crash but investigators say five people were inside the car at the time of the crash.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Four others were transported to hospital, including three with life-threatening injuries and one with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, officials say Leslie Street is now closed between Jeffery Crescent and Seaview Heights and is expected to remain shut down for the remainder of the investigation.
