A motorcyclist has died following a collision involving a vehicle in Vaughan on Tuesday. Steve Ryan reports from the scene.

A motorcyclist has died following a collision involving a vehicle in Vaughan on Tuesday.

The crash happened near Dufferin Street and Caraway Drive, just south of Highway 407.

York Regional Police say they were called to that area at 10:15 a.m. for reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Investigators said the operator of the motorcycle was found deceased when officers arrived at the scene.

Dufferin Street closed in both directions

Currently, Dufferin Street is closed in both directions at Highway 407 “until further notice” as police investigate.

Police say westbound Highway 407 to northbound Dufferin Street remains open, as does southbound Dufferin Street from eastbound Highway 407.
