An 18-year-old man has been arrested and three other suspects remain wanted in connection with the assault of one person during a home invasion in Richmond Hill in April.

York Regional Police said three suspects, including one carrying a metal object, smashed a front window of a home near Hyde Park and Red Oak Drives shortly before 4:30 a.m. on April 28.

After making their way in, the suspects allegedly confronted and assaulted the homeowner.

Police said the suspects made no demands during the confrontation and later fled the home in a black SUV driven by a fourth suspect.

The homeowner suffered minor injuries, police said.

Last week, officers executed a search warrant at a Kitchener residence, resulting in the arrest of one suspect, who was allegedly in possession of a loaded firearm.

Police said they also seized a quantity of fentanyl, crack cocaine and a replica firearm.

In a news release on Monday, the suspect was identified as Manav Kotak of Kitchener.

He has been charged with robbery, disguise with intent, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited device, careless storage of a firearm and two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Meanwhile, police are still searching for three other suspects but no descriptions have been released.
