9-vehicle collision in Vaughan sends 6 people to hospital, man arrested

A driver has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle after a nine-vehicle crash in Vaughan left several people injured.

A 76-year-old man has been arrested following a nine-vehicle collision in Vaughan, Ont., on Friday afternoon that sent six people to hospital, including two youths.

The collision happened at the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Wellness Way shortly before 2 p.m.

York Regional Police said all six people taken to the hospital suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the 76-year-old man has been charged with dangerous operation, police said.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
