A man has been injured in an overnight shooting outside a business in Vaughan.
In a post to social media, York regional police say officers responded at around 2 a.m. near Steeles Avenue West and Scholes Road.
Police say one person was found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was brought to hospital. They also add that the suspect fled the area before they arrived.
Residents are asked to please avoid the area while officers continue to canvas he area. Police say that there is no immediate threat to public safety.
Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
