Two pedestrians were struck by a driver in York Region on Tuesday night, police say.
The collision happened in Vaughan, near the intersection of Rutherford Road and Velmar Drive, west of Weston Road.
Paramedics later said they were called to that area just after 7:20 p.m.
They said they transported one patient to local hospital, and another to a local trauma centre.
Police said they both sustained serious injuries.
Westbound Rutherford Road remains shut down as police investigate.
Motorists should expect heavy delays in that area and seek another route, say police.
