One suspect is charged and another remains at large in connection with the kidnapping of a Richmond Hill man earlier this month.
The victim was reported missing from work on July 7. His business is in the area of Denison Street and Woodbine Avenue in Markham, police said.
York Regional Police later determined the man had been kidnapped and called on their Homicide Unit to assist with the investigation.
Two days later, police said they found the victim. Officials did not say if he sustained any physical injuries but said he was safely located.
Police then arrested one male suspect on July 9, identified as 39-year-old Haidong Zhou of Toronto.
Zhou was charged with kidnapping with a firearm and forcible confinement.
York police are searching for a second suspect, identified as 44-year-old Jianwei “John” Fan of Toronto.
Fan is wanted for conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, and police said they have been unable to find him.

Investigators are sharing his image and are asking the public for any information about his whereabouts.
Police encourage Fan to seek legal advice and turn himself in and are reminding the public that anyone who helps him may be criminally charged.
Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
